XS maquettes was founded in 2005 when owner and director Danny Schiffeleers recognized the need for a more specialized product. Founding his own company gave him the freedom and possibility to invest in the necessary equipment and production techniques that would help meet this demand.
To date, XS maquettes has gained 18 years of professional model building experience. After successfully completing his training in fine carpentry, Danny Schiffeleers studied to be an interior architect at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Maasticht. His graduation project earned him a nomination for the Hustinx Prize. After completing his studies, Danny Schiffeleers continuously worked for several architectural firmsas an interior architect and chief model builder.
